THE DETAILS

The challenge

Paradex is a derivatives DEX for perpetual futures, options, and yield vaults, built on the Paradex Chain (the first appchain on Starknet). Execution is fast, fees are low, and everything is self-custodial. But none of that mattered if traders couldn't get capital onto the platform.

Liquidity in crypto is scattered across Ethereum, Solana, Base, and many other chains. Paradex needed deeper liquidity to improve their perpetual exchange experience.

Paradex had been using third-party providers for bridging. It was serviceable, but they couldn't control the experience, customize the security model, or add new source chains without waiting on those providers.

What they actually needed:

  • Deposits embedded in the Paradex UI itself
  • Support for multiple VMs (EVM, Solana, Starknet)
  • Configurable security to match their safety standards
  • Ownership of the interop stack, so they could control their expansion

What we did

Paradex integrated Hyperlane Warp Routes 2.0 directly into the portfolio dashboard. A trader deposits USDC from any supported chain, and it shows up in their Paradex balance ready to trade.

Under the hood, USDC is locked on the origin chain via lock-and-mint, and an equivalent amount is released on Paradex Chain through Starkgate settlement. The trader gets native USDC, not a wrapped token. The Hyperlane core team handles the Warp Route deployments to chains and handles the liquidity rebalancing on behalf of Paradex.

Paradex soft-launched on mainnet in July 2025 with Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, and Starknet. Solana followed in November 2025, making this a multi-VM integration spanning EVM, SVM, and Starknet.

Outcome

$400M+ USDC has been deposited through Hyperlane since launch. Traders on Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Base, and Starknet can deposit USDC and start trading in seconds.

Paradex now has a deposit pipeline it owns and can extend to any of 150+ Hyperlane-supported chains.
